Co-Motion Theatre Company premiered Pat McCabe’s ‘Frank Pig Says Hello’ at the Dublin Theatre Festival in 1992. Directed by Joe O’Byrne, that stage version of McCabe’s novel ‘The Butcher Boy’ went on to become a significant international success. In 2016, O’Byrne and McCabe teamed up again with ‘The Leaves of Heavan’ to revisit the story of the disturbed boy Francie Brady, several decades on, as he whiles away his days in a psychiatric institution.
